Their stunning, straight, short-haired white coat is easy to groom but needs regular attention to keep it compliment-worthy. Brush regularly with a stiff bristle brush to keep the coat tangle free. Bathe when necessary. The West Highland White sheds little to no hair and lives for 12-16 years.

Westies are not high-maintenance dogs when it comes to grooming, but they do require daily brushing—thankfully, mud picked up during their outside zoomies comes out easily. Their short, double coat isn't prone to shedding, so don't worry about finding little white hairs clinging to your couch or clothes.

The Wallace Westies home is located on 5 acres in beautiful Hillsboro, Missouri, just thirty minutes south of St Louis. We are surrounded by rolling green hills and fields of gold with amazing views of surrounding towns in the distance.
As hard as it is to see a Westie leave, it is always comforting to see him or her in a caring home, bringing their playful nature to their new owners. We would love the opportunity to share the joy and laughter found in these adorable Westies with you, as they have brought more into our lives at the Wallace home than we could ever have imagined.
